Yana is very petite and so not having a great amount of weight to shift can be more challenging. Denise lost 26 pounds.Across 2018 and 2019 I got serious about my weight loss journey. I trained hard, cut calories and carbs and made it to the lightweight category.Then in 2020 the world closed for business. Day one of the lockdown I got up, ran round the block, worked from home, did a bodyweight routine after my work day was finished. By the second day I was eating chocolate digestives for breakfast. It didn't get much better than that for quite a while. I'd lost my routine, my motivation and my why for saying no to things. For me fitness was all about being sociable so solo workouts or Zoom classes did not hit the same spot.Fast forward to 01/01/21 and I weighed 76kg. The highest I'd ever been. I was unfit and back to struggling to move around again.
I lost and put on the same 4kg over and over again until November 2022. That was when I decided I needed help to do this.
I signed up with my lovely friend Kirsty Wilson for a six months package. I needed help. She warned me that it would be hard. And it was, but also so much easier than expected. My target was to compete at purple belt in the lightweight category on 26th April 2023. And I did it! This is me, drinking a Guinness, this was after climbing the tallest mountain in Ireland. What I preach is also what I live and breathe myself. I am embarrassed to be part of the diet industry and so have created a system that is easy to follow and incorporate into your lifestyle.My approach to weight loss is eating real food that you enjoy. Understanding your own calorie ceiling and educating you to continue way beyond our time together.I’ve heard countless times where people are doing Slimming World…again!What didn’t they learn the first time?Why are they being failed?These two questions are what excites me. Every person is a puzzle. And it’s my job to put the pieces together.Simple.No bullshit meal plans.I supply a framework and you stick to that framework….forever. About Me

This is probably a great time to introduce myself. I’ve been in fitness and sports for over 20 years. I’m a Comprehensive Pilates Teacher, Sports Massage Therapist and Nutrition Coach.I worked for several years with Premiership footballers, Professional Rugby players and high profile Professional Boxers as their Sports Massage therapist. I got to see first hand how having the right training, nutrition timing, recovery can make humans do incredible things.I come from a background myself of Boxing and Martial Arts.I was very fortunate to graduate 16 years ago from NLSSM for my Sports Massage qualification. On that course we had professor from Leeds University deliver a lecture on nutrition, mainly for our own knowledge rather than passing it on. In that single day I learnt much more about pain management and human nutrition than all of my courses beforehand. From that point on I was hooked.Fast forward a few years and I myself was suffering from yet another bout of Migraines. I’d been plagued by these since my teens and I was in a misery cycle of popping pills just to get through my work day. I went to my GP who offered me various pills to suppress them. Nothing worked. I was finally offered Beta-blockers from my GP as a last resort. I refused point blank.I knew there had to be a better way!I found a lady who helped me through a full elimination diet. My triggers unfortunately were everything I enjoyed on a daily basis. No wonder I was in pain. I then had a choice, continue to eat that way or embrace change. I reckon since that point I have maybe 1 or 2 full on migraine attacks per year now, rather than everyday.I’m still amazed at the relationship between what we nourish ourselves with and what effect that can have on your mental state, weight, pain level.
